Sunidhi Chauhan (born 14 August 1983) is an Indian playback singer. Born in Delhi, she began performing in local gatherings at the age of four and made her career debut at the age of 13, with the film Shastra (1996). During the year, she won the first singing reality show titled Meri Awaz Suno. She rose to prominence after recording “Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi” from Mast (1999), ultimately winning the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent and was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer.
Sunidhi Chauhan
Chauhan represented India at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival in New York, where she performed on the stage alongside international performers like Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Beyoncé and others. Additionally, Chauhan voiced for the character Elsa, in the Hindi-dubbed version of the 3D computer-animated musical fantasy film Frozen. Being an inspiration to many upcoming singers, her work has received praise from veteran artists and some of her contemporary singers. Besides her career in music, she has also been involved in various charities and social causes.

She has sung for over 2000 Hindi and regional language songs till date.
Her father, Dushyant Chauhan, was the first one to spot her talent and he moved to Mumbai with his entire family to develop her talent. They moved to the city of dreams and into music director Kalyanji ‘bhai’s Little Wonders troupe.
Sandeep Chowtha’s first film as a composer got an ideal virgin voice in Sunidhi and her song became the most memorable number in the film.
In her academic, she is just 10th standard pass and latterly engaged in making her musical career.
Sunidhi sang the English song “Reach Out” at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Asian Games at Doha, Qatar.
Microsoft hired Sunidhi Chauhan to sing the “Windows Vista Song” titled Wow is Now.
