Subhashree Ganguly

Subhashree Ganguly was born on November 3, 1989, in Bardhaman, West Bengal, India. She was brought up in a joint family. Her father was a retired school clerk, and her mother was a housewife.

She completed her schooling at Burdwan Municipal High School in Bardhaman, Kolkata, India. She further pursued her education at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India.

Subhashree Ganguly is married to Raj Chakraborty, a well-known actor, director, and producer. They got engaged in Kolkata on March 6, 2018, and tied the knot on May 11, 2018, at a heritage resort near Kolkata12.

The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on September 12, 2020. In June 2023, they announced that they were expecting their second child.

Subhashree Ganguly began her journey in the entertainment industry by winning the reality show ‘Fairever Anandalok Nayikar Khonje’ in 2006.

She made her acting debut in 2008 with the Odia comedy-drama film ‘Mate Ta Love Helare’. She subsequently made her debut in Bengali films with ‘Pitribhumi’, where she played a supporting role.

Subhashree Ganguly’s career took off after she started working with Bengali film actor Dev in films such as ‘Challenge’, ‘Khokababu’, ‘Khoka 420’, ‘Romeo’, and ‘Paran Jai Jaliya Re’.

Her pairing with another Bengali actor Jeet in films like ‘Boss’, ‘Game’, ‘Abhimaan’, and ‘Boss : Back to Rule’ was equally successful. She won multiple awards for best actress, including Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) in Filmfare Awards Bangla.
