Maite Perroni

Maite grew up in Mexico City and Guadalajara, where she developed an early passion for performing arts. Her parents, Maite Beorlegui and Javier Perroni, supported her interests, and she participated in many TV commercials and music videos during her childhood.

She attended the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA), an acting school run by Televisa, where she honed her skills. Her dedication paid off when she landed the role of Guadalupe “Lupita” Fernández in Rebelde, launching her career in the entertainment industry.

Maite is married to producer Andrés Tovar, and the couple tied the knot on October 9, 2022. They welcomed their daughter, Lía, in May 2023. Maite has two younger brothers, Adolfo and Francisco, and she often shares her close-knit family moments on social media.

Maite’s career took off with Rebelde, but she truly made her mark with the telenovela Cuidado con el Ángel, where she played María de Jesús. Her performance earned her the title of “The New Queen of Telenovelas” by Univision.

She continued to star in successful telenovelas such as Mi Pecado, Triunfo del Amor, Cachito de cielo, La Gata, Antes muerta que Lichita, and Papá a toda madre. In recent years, she has expanded her reach to Hollywood, starring in Netflix series like Dark Desire and Triada, where she portrayed triplets.

Maite’s career is filled with numerous accolades and achievements. She won the Premios TVyNovelas for Best Actress in 2016 for her role in Antes muerta que Lichita. Her music career is equally impressive, with her debut solo album Eclipse de Luna reaching number 3 on the Mexican Albums Chart and number 2 on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart.

She has also hosted prestigious awards shows and launched her own clothing line, Colección Maite Perroni.
