Erin Daniels

Erin was born into a Jewish family in St. Louis, Missouri. Her father, an architect, and her mother, a clinical social worker who co-founded the Central Reform Congregation in St. Louis, provided a nurturing environment.

Erin attended Clayton High School and later graduated from Vassar College in 1995 with a major in art. Her early exposure to the arts and her supportive family laid the foundation for her future career in acting.

Erin married producer Chris Uettwiller in 2008, and the couple had two children together. However, they divorced in February 20191. Erin is known for her witty, sarcastic sense of humor and her comical facial expressions.

She is fluent in French and spends a significant amount of time in France. Despite her busy career, Erin remains open-minded about love and relationships.

After graduating from Vassar, Erin moved to New York City to study with William Esper, a protégé of Sanford Meisner, and worked off-Broadway. She then moved to Los Angeles for a part on the short-lived TV series Action.

Erin’s big break came with her role in One Hour Photo (2002), where she played Maya Burson. Her performance in the film caught the attention of Showtime producers, leading to her casting as Dana Fairbanks in The L Word.

Erin’s career has been marked by several notable achievements. In 2002, she received the Emerging Star Award at the St. Louis Film Festival. Her role in The L Word not only made her a household name but also prompted an anonymous donation of a million dollars to the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.

Erin has also appeared in TV shows like Dexter, CSI, and Saving Grace, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
