Emily Deschanel

Emily Erin Deschanel was born to Caleb Deschanel, a renowned cinematographer, and Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir), an actress. Her younger sister, Zooey Deschanel, is also an actress and singer-songwriter. Growing up in a creative environment, Emily was exposed to the world of cinema from a young age.

She attended Harvard-Westlake School and Crossroads School in Los Angeles before graduating from Boston University’s Professional Actors Training Program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater.
