Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoa?i (born May 25, 1985) is an American professional wrestler, former professional Canadian football player, and a member of the Anoa, i family. He is signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Roman Reigns on the Raw brand. He also tied the WWE record for most eliminations in a Survivor Series elimination match with four in the 2013 event, and set the record for most eliminations in a Royal Rumble match with 12 in the 2014 event.
Reigns turned his attention away from the WWE title and the new WWE Universal Championship as well, he focused on challenging Rusev for the United States Championship by attacking him after a promo. On July 19, at the 2016 WWE draft, Reigns was drafted to Raw. Despite Reigns’ suspension, WWE continued to advertise Reigns as part of the Battleground main event, and went on to acknowledge Reigns’ suspension on television.
The following night on the July 25 episode of Raw, Reigns also failed to contend for the newly announced WWE Universal Championship against Rollins at SummerSlam, as he lost in the main event against the debuting Finn Bálor after earlier winning a fatal four-way match that involved Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, and Sheamus that same night.
