This page explains how our team works: how profiles are researched, what sources we use, how we handle uncertainty, and what to do when something’s wrong.
How Profiles Are Researched
Every profile on BollywoodFox is built by our editorial team from publicly available information. We don’t publish unverified claims or rely on a single source.
Our research process for each profile typically includes:
- Biographical data — verified against official records, reputable entertainment databases, and published interviews
- Career information — cross-referenced with filmographies, match records, official discographies, or equivalent documented sources
- Awards and achievements — verified against official award body records and credible news reports
- Net worth estimates — calculated from publicly reported earnings, known contracts, endorsements, and asset records (see note below)
- Physical statistics — sourced from verified interviews, official records, or reputable reference databases
Where information conflicts across sources, we use the most consistently reported figure and note uncertainty where relevant.
A Note on Net Worth Figures
Net worth is one of the most requested and least precise data points in celebrity coverage.
We want to be upfront: all net worth figures on BollywoodFox are estimates. They are based on publicly available information, including reported salaries, known endorsement deals, property records, and business valuations. They are not confirmed by the individuals themselves.
We do not inflate figures for clickbait purposes. We do not publish numbers without a reasonable basis for them. When we’re genuinely uncertain, we say so.
If you believe a net worth figure on any profile is significantly inaccurate, please let us know via the feedback section on profile pages, with supporting sources, and we’ll review it.
How We Use AI Tools
We want to be transparent about this.
Our team uses AI tools as a research aid to help structure information, identify gaps, and speed up the first draft of a profile. However, every profile is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human team member before publishing.
We do not publish AI-generated content without human review. Factual claims are always verified against primary or credible secondary sources, regardless of how a first draft was produced.
How Often Profiles Are Updated
We update profiles regularly, but not all 25,000 at once. Priority is given to:
- Profiles with reported errors
- Celebrities with major recent career developments
- High-traffic profiles where accuracy matters most
- New profiles added from community suggestions
Every profile shows a “Last Updated” date so you can see how current the information is.
Our Correction Process
We get things wrong sometimes. When that happens, we want to fix it quickly.
If you spot an error:
- Go to the “Spot an error” section on the Profile page
- Tell us what’s incorrect, and include a source if you have one
- Our team reviews it, usually within 5 working days
- If the correction is valid, we update the profile and the “Last Updated” date
We don’t delete corrections; we fix and update. Transparency matters more than appearing infallible.
What We Don’t Cover
A few things we avoid regardless of their newsworthiness:
- Unverified rumours — if it isn’t confirmed by credible sources, it doesn’t go in a profile
- Private individuals — public figures only; family members who haven’t entered public life are not profiled
- Harmful speculation — we don’t publish health diagnoses, sexuality, or personal details that haven’t been publicly confirmed by the individual themselves
