Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger (born June 29, 1978) is an American singer-songwriter, television personality, and philanthropist. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she made an appearance on the television series Popstars as a member of Eden’s Crush until disbandment in 2002 after the label filed for bankruptcy. Scherzinger was featured in Il Divo’s newest album. On the season finale of The X Factor, Scherzinger performed “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” with winner Sam Bailey. On January 2, 2014, it was reported that Scherzinger had signed a $5 million record deal with Sony Music Entertainment, which would result in the end of her ten-year relationship with Interscope.
